SIDHelp has added a feature that will allow you to show a different season than your current season for a particular sport.  This could be very useful for late spring when you want to go a head and start showing all your Fall sports info on your website by default or in the late Summer when you want to show your Spring sports info after the default season has already changed.

NOTE - For clients that have started before Feb 2010, we will have to change your site code just a bit to make this work. You will see a warning on the page if we have not done this yet.  If you would like for us to add the code to your site please submit a ticket.

To override your season for a sport, log into the admin system as a super admin then find the following link:

Admin Settings > Seasons > Set Season Overrides.

First select the sport, then choose one of the two options in the next drop down.

Will display last season information until: Use this option for your Winter or Spring sports after your new season has started but you still want to show last seasons info for a sport.

Will begin displaying next season's information on: Use this option for your Fall or Winter sports when you want to show next seasons info before the season has started for a sport.

Use the calender to select the correct date for your choices.  Then click on the Set Override button.

You will now see your overridden sport season display below the form.  If you would like to remove it or any of the others just click on the trash can next to the appropriate listing.

Troubleshooting:

If you have set up season Overrides, but are not seeing them take effect, please check the following:
Make sure the next season is set to display on the website - Admin Home > Seasons, then check the Status column to see if it is "Shown on Website". If it is "Hidden on Website", edit that season, check the box for "Show on Web" and click the Save Season button. Please note that this will make the new season show up FOR ALL SPORTS in the "Change Season" dropdown box when on Sport Specific pages.

Season Switchover Date: This date is July 1st for most schools by default. You can check your season switchover date on the Season Overrides page, just look near the top for the following text:"Your seasons normally change on". This date can also be checked on the Admin Settings > Seasons page.

Note: If it is before the current season's switchover date, only fall/winter sports can be overriden to show next season's information. If it is after the current season's switchover date, only spring sports can be overriden to show previous season's information.
