You can create divisions for sports within your conference here.

Admin Settings > Misc, Options > Assign Teams to Division

You can assign teams to divisions on this page. Please note that the list of schools does not appear until you select a Season and Division from the first two drop-down boxes. You can also assign more than one school at a time by holding Ctrl key and clicking multiple teams in the School dropdown.

To remove a school/team from a division

Just go to the Admin Settings > Misc. Options > Assign Schools to Divisions > Select remove next to the school you would like to remove.
